Puts a 4-20 mA or 0-10 V instrument on the wireless network. Flow, pressure and pH readings are measured to 0.001 mA or 0.001 V and sent over the Zigbee mesh to the Gateway, with no new cable back to a panel.

0.001 mA resolution on current-loop inputs
ZIO measures across 0–20 mA on externally powered loops, up to 36 V DC.
Current or voltage inputs
ZIO for 4–20 mA loops, ZVO for 0–10 V signals at 0.001 V resolution. Both come in single or dual channel.
Mains powered and sealed
An 85–264 V AC supply is built in, drawing 5 W at most, inside an IP67 polycarbonate enclosure.
Nothing lost in a radio outage
Up to 70,000 readings are kept in flash on the sensor, time-stamped, and sent when the link returns.

Match the instrument’s output. A 4-20 mA transmitter takes a ZIO; an instrument with a 0-10 V output takes a ZVO. Both come with one channel or two.

No. The current input expects an externally powered loop of up to 36 V DC, so the transmitter needs its own loop supply.

How is the reading scaled to engineering units?
The sensor measures the raw current or voltage, to 0.001 mA or 0.001 V. The range of the instrument (0 to 10 bar, say, for 4 to 20 mA) is set when the channel is commissioned.
