Deye SUN-29.9-50K-SG01HP3-EU
Commercial hybrid PV inverter
Deye publishes RS485, RS232 and CAN alongside optional monitoring modules, battery BMS links, generator support and parallel operation. The retained sources do not establish a firmware-matched third-party read-only endpoint and map. Compatibility remains unverified.

Compatibility
Direct Edge integration not yet verified
The exact-family manual and datasheet document several communication ports used by batteries, meters, parallel inverters and monitoring modules, but no complete third-party read contract for the installed firmware.
SUN-29.9K, 30K, 35K, 40K or 50K-SG01HP3-EU-BM3/BM4 only. Record firmware, battery BMS, meter, generator, parallel and monitoring-module roles before requesting the matching telemetry specification.
Models
| Models | Interface | Route into Edge |
|---|---|---|
| SUN-29.9/30/35K-SG01HP3-EU-BM3 | Three MPPTs and two high-voltage battery inputs | Keep battery BMS and inverter telemetry roles distinct. |
| SUN-40/50K-SG01HP3-EU-BM4 | Four MPPTs and two high-voltage battery inputs | Record grid, load, generator and battery topology. |
Specifications
The BM3 models use three MPPTs and the BM4 models use four. All combine conversion, battery charging, grid and load operation, so source identity must accompany every value.12
Interface
Documented measurements and integration boundaries for SUN-29.9-50K-SG01HP3-EU.
- Potential identity, production, state and alarm points require the exact firmware-matched manufacturer map before publication.
- Every value must retain its source device and measurement boundary; inverter, meter, logger and controller values are not interchangeable.
- No export-control, power-command, battery, generator, protection or grid-setting write is approved by this guide.
Assessment
SUN-29.9K, 30K, 35K, 40K or 50K-SG01HP3-EU-BM3/BM4 only. Record firmware, battery BMS, meter, generator, parallel and monitoring-module roles before requesting the matching telemetry specification.
- InteroperabilityLimited
- Published interfaces exist, but the retained exact-family sources do not provide a complete third-party read contract.12
- AccuracyNot yet assessed
- No firmware-matched public map establishes the exact readable measurements, data types, scaling and unavailable-value behavior.12
- SecurityNot yet assessed
- The retained sources do not establish authentication, encryption or read-only privilege separation for a third-party client.12
- ReliabilityLimited
- Electrical and environmental limits are published, while communication recovery, stale data and concurrent-client behavior remain unverified.12
- RuggednessSupported with conditions
- The manufacturer publishes enclosure and operating limits; the installation must still meet those limits.12
Setup
-
Record the complete identity
Photograph the nameplate and record the exact model, serial number, installed firmware and communication accessories. Do not select a point map from the family name alone.
-
Map the commissioned topology
Identify every inverter, logger, meter, protection relay and plant controller. Record the owner and physical source of each value before proposing integration.
-
Obtain the missing interface contract
Retain the firmware-matched manufacturer protocol document. Require the endpoint role, address model, data types, units, scaling, unavailable values and read permissions.
-
Keep control outside this guide
Do not propose active-power, reactive-power, export-limit, battery, generator, protection or grid-setting writes. Those functions need a separate engineered control and safety case.
