Huawei LUNA2000-241-2S1

Commercial and utility battery energy storage system

LUNA2000-241-2S1 combines 241 kWh of LFP storage with a 108 kW PCS, hybrid cooling, Ethernet or fibre and a named Modbus TCP interface. The current datasheet does not publish the server role, firmware-matched point list, authentication or read-only permissions. Direct Edge integration remains unverified.

Compatibility

Direct Edge integration not yet verified

Huawei names Ethernet, fibre and Modbus TCP, but the retained current public material does not define the external endpoint role, firmware point map, access model or coexistence rules.

LUNA2000-241-2S1, datasheet version 01-202601. Keep PCS2000-108K-MB1, pack optimisers, BMS, EMS, meters and project controller identities separate. No control or safety authority is transferred.

Interface

Documented measurements and integration boundaries for LUNA2000-241-2S1.

  • Potential identity, operating mode, state of charge, state of health, power, energy, temperatures and alarms require the approved project point map.
  • Pack optimiser, battery, PCS, EMS, site-meter and grid-meter values must retain their distinct sources and time bases.
  • Fire-system, anti-islanding, insulation, residual-current and overcurrent functions remain under the commissioned safety and protection design.
  • No power setpoint, charge, discharge, grid-forming, anti-backflow, black-start or protection command is approved by this guide.

Assessment

LUNA2000-241-2S1, datasheet version 01-202601. Keep PCS2000-108K-MB1, pack optimisers, BMS, EMS, meters and project controller identities separate. No control or safety authority is transferred.

InteroperabilityLimited
The manufacturer names relevant communications, but the retained public evidence does not provide a complete firmware-matched, read-only third-party interface contract.12
AccuracyNot yet assessed
The externally readable point set, units, sign conventions, quality states and freshness rules are not established.12
SecurityNot yet assessed
Authentication, encryption, roles and read-only privilege separation for an independent client are not defined in the retained public sources.12
ReliabilityLimited
System operating limits are published, while client recovery, stale-data behaviour and concurrent-client limits remain project-specific.12
RuggednessSupported with conditions
IP55, temperature, humidity and altitude limits are published; the installed site and fire design remain authoritative.12
ScalabilityLimited
The support family covers parallel systems, but external client count, polling and aggregation limits are not public.12
LifecycleSupported with conditions
A current January 2026 datasheet and support page exist; firmware, warranty and service status remain project-specific.12

Setup

  1. Confirm the delivered system

Record every enclosure, battery rack, PCS, BMS, EMS, meter and controller identity, plus firmware, software, network and contract revisions.

  2. Map authority before data

Document which system owns charge and discharge, protection, fire and life safety, grid control, market dispatch, settlement, warranty and emergency response.

  3. Obtain the interface contract

Require the exact endpoint role, firmware-matched point map, authentication, permissions, units, sign conventions, quality states, timestamps, update rates and client limits.

  4. Prove read-only monitoring

Begin with an approved read-only allowlist. Compare identity, state, power, energy and alarms with the authoritative system and an independent connection-point meter.

Common questions

Does the Modbus TCP label prove direct Edge compatibility?
No. The public datasheet does not publish endpoint role, addresses, types, units, permissions, authentication or firmware applicability.2
Can the 215 kWh model use this guide?
No. LUNA2000-215-2S10 has a different capacity and battery configuration. Use its exact datasheet and project contract.1
Can Edge control anti-backflow or grid-forming operation?
No. Those functions depend on the project EMS, meters, protection and grid approval. This guide releases no write path.2
