Distributed solar inverters, batteries and monitoring
Huawei FusionSolar combines PV inverters, battery storage, plant communications and energy-management software.
FusionSolar is Huawei's solar and energy-storage offering, spanning home systems, commercial installations and utility-scale plants. Its catalogue includes SUN2000 inverters, LUNA2000 storage, module controllers, power sensors and plant communications equipment. The products form several system families rather than one fixed package.
For a home, the focus is coordinating generation, storage and consumption. At utility scale, the product range extends to array controllers, transformer stations and plant-management systems. That breadth makes FusionSolar relevant both to an installer selecting residential components and to an engineering team planning communications and operation across a much larger PV site.
The SUN2000 MAP0 series covers 5–12 kW residential energy controllers. Huawei describes three-phase unbalanced operation, battery integration and backup arrangements, with its product page identifying compatible storage and control components. The inverter's power rating and the surrounding backup equipment are separate parts of that selection.
The LUNA2000 S1 storage family uses modular battery arrangements and integrates with the FusionSolar app. The page describes time-of-use, maximum-self-consumption and feed-to-grid operating modes, along with views of production, consumption and battery charge or discharge. These functions help homeowners understand where energy is going and choose how the installed system should use its storage.

The SmartLogger3000B datasheet identifies three RS485 ports, Ethernet and optical Ethernet interfaces, plus digital and analogue I/O. The optional SmartModule1000A expands the ports and adds temperature-sensor inputs. Listed protocols include Modbus TCP and IEC 60870-5-104 over Ethernet, and Modbus RTU, IEC 60870-5-103 and DL/T645 on RS485.
The logger combines inverter collection with site signals: its digital and analogue inputs can bring external plant information into the same controller, while optical Ethernet offers another network connection option. The datasheet specifies device-count limits and optional expansion hardware. These documented interfaces are not evidence of a tested Edge profile; logger firmware, data mapping and permitted access still define the actual connection.
The Smart PV Plant Management System provides plant, sub-array, equipment and module views. It includes prioritised alerts, fault visualisation and diagnostic tools such as I-V curve analysis. Huawei also identifies RESTful API and IEC 104 interfaces for third-party access to plant operating and diagnostic information.
This is a different operational scale from the household energy-flow view in the LUNA2000 residential system. Plant operators need to locate underperforming equipment across many strings, while a homeowner is more likely to compare generation, battery use and grid exchange. The catalogue's separate residential, commercial and utility paths reflect those different operating tasks.
Huawei Digital Power presents FusionSolar alongside its data-centre, telecom-site, charging and other power-electronics businesses. Its corporate timeline records the establishment of Huawei Digital Power Technologies in June 2021 and also documents earlier Huawei solar-product milestones. FusionSolar is a business and product offering within Huawei. The founding year shown here is Huawei’s corporate origin in 1987, not the start of FusionSolar. Huawei Digital Power’s separate establishment in June 2021 is documented in its sustainability report.
The Digital Power privacy policy identifies Huawei Digital Power Technologies Co., Ltd. and gives its registered address in Shenzhen. The wider business combines power electronics with digital management systems. That context explains why the solar catalogue includes both conversion hardware and software for commissioning, monitoring and operating energy assets.
