Growatt MAX 100-150KTL3-X2

Commercial PV inverter

Growatt publishes exact LV and MV ratings, eight MPPTs and RS485 or optional PLC hardware. The retained sources do not publish a firmware-matched third-party read map or establish the client/server role. Direct Edge compatibility remains unverified.

Compatibility

Direct Edge integration not yet verified

The exact-family manual and datasheets name RS485, USB and optional PLC or wireless accessories, but do not provide a firmware-matched third-party telemetry map and endpoint role.

MAX 100-125KTL3-X2 LV or MAX 124-150KTL3-X2 MV only. Record the full model, grid variant, firmware and communication accessory before requesting the matching interface specification.

Specifications

The LV and MV groups use different AC voltage classes. The nameplate rating and suffix must be captured before applying electrical or monitoring assumptions.123

Model range
100 to 125 kW LV variants and 124 to 150 kW MV variants123
PV inputs
Eight MPPTs with two strings per tracker123
Published interfaces
RS485, USB and optional PLC; LV literature also lists optional GPRS, 4G and Wi-Fi123
Installation limits
IP66; -30 to +60 °C123

Interface

Documented measurements and integration boundaries for MAX 100-150KTL3-X2.

  • Potential identity, production, state and alarm points require the exact firmware-matched manufacturer map before publication.
  • Every value must retain its source device and measurement boundary; inverter, meter, logger and controller values are not interchangeable.
  • No export-control, power-command, battery, generator, protection or grid-setting write is approved by this guide.

Assessment

MAX 100-125KTL3-X2 LV or MAX 124-150KTL3-X2 MV only. Record the full model, grid variant, firmware and communication accessory before requesting the matching interface specification.

InteroperabilityLimited
Published interfaces exist, but the retained exact-family sources do not provide a complete third-party read contract.123
AccuracyNot yet assessed
No firmware-matched public map establishes the exact readable measurements, data types, scaling and unavailable-value behavior.123
SecurityNot yet assessed
The retained sources do not establish authentication, encryption or read-only privilege separation for a third-party client.123
ReliabilityLimited
Electrical and environmental limits are published, while communication recovery, stale data and concurrent-client behavior remain unverified.123
RuggednessSupported with conditions
The manufacturer publishes enclosure and operating limits; the installation must still meet those limits.123
ScalabilityLimited
The vendor documents multi-device or plant operation, but third-party polling limits and coexistence behavior are not established.123
LifecycleSupported with conditions
Current exact-family documentation is available, but project delivery still needs the installed firmware and matching interface document.123

Setup

  1. Record the complete identity

Photograph the nameplate and record the exact model, serial number, installed firmware and communication accessories. Do not select a point map from the family name alone.

  2. Map the commissioned topology

Identify every inverter, logger, meter, protection relay and plant controller. Record the owner and physical source of each value before proposing integration.

  3. Obtain the missing interface contract

Retain the firmware-matched manufacturer protocol document. Require the endpoint role, address model, data types, units, scaling, unavailable values and read permissions.

  4. Keep control outside this guide

Do not propose active-power, reactive-power, export-limit, battery, generator, protection or grid-setting writes. Those functions need a separate engineered control and safety case.

Common questions

Does a published RS485 or Ethernet interface prove direct Edge compatibility?
No. A connector or protocol label does not establish the server role, firmware map, readable points, permissions or client coexistence rules.123
Can inverter values replace the point-of-connection meter?
No. Inverter telemetry describes conversion equipment. PCC control, protection, billing and settlement require their commissioned independent measurements.123
Does this guide support plant control?
No. It publishes no Edge write path. Export, active-power, reactive-power, battery, generator and protection functions remain with the commissioned control system.123
