It joins as a Zigbee end device, not a router, so it does not extend the mesh. Place it within range of the Gateway or a mains-powered router.¹

The leak alarm is bit 0 of the IAS Zone status. The detector holds the alarm until the Gateway acknowledges it, then sends a cleared status if the water has gone, so the Gateway sees even a brief leak.²

By default, temperature reports at least every 600 seconds and at most every 60 seconds, on a change of 0.1 °C.²

The low-battery flag sets when the cell falls below 2.8 V. The red LED then blinks twice every 60 seconds.²

After 5 missed keep-alives in a row, at worst 1 hour 15 minutes, the detector starts scanning for its network again.²

Setup

Open pairing in Edge
In Edge, open pairing on the Gateway’s Zigbee network. The Gateway accepts new devices while pairing is open.
Power it up
Pull out the battery strip. A new detector starts searching for a network straight away, with its LED flashing once a second, and scans all channels for up to 15 minutes.²
Reset one that has been used before
Press and hold the button. The mode steps every 5 seconds, shown by short LED blinks. Release it at the factory reset mode: the detector clears its old network and starts searching again.²
Confirm the join
Check that Edge identifies it as Develco FLSZB-110 and shows a temperature. The detector reports its maker as frient A/S or Develco Products A/S, depending on the version.²
Test the alarm
Put a few drops of water under the detector. The siren sounds and Edge shows a water leak. Dry it and check that the leak state clears.³
