How the plan was chosen

Every room gets a dual-channel temperature sensor with two waterproof probes on 2.5 m leads, one near the evaporator and one at the product. The waterproof probe holds ±0.2 °C from −20 to 70 °C and ±0.5 °C down to −40 °C, so the same part covers the chill rooms and the freezers.

The compressor pack and the condenser are two three-phase circuits of up to 300 A per phase, measured with flexible Rogowski coils that wrap the conductor. Metering them shows when defrost cycles and door-open periods drive the plant.

Edge on the Gateway records every reading on site and raises alarms locally, so a room that drifts out of range is flagged even if the internet link is down.

Eight EpiSensor devices report to one ZGW-20 Gateway. EpiSensor devices need no licence.

Selection notes and confirmations

TES-22-w2.5 · Probe Temperature Sensor

For 6 locations: Cold rooms, fridges and freezers

Two points at one location, in a cold room, a freezer, a liquid or a damp area, on 2.5 m waterproof probes.

  • Waterproof probe, IP68. Holds ±0.2 °C from −20 to 70 °C, and ±0.5 °C down to −40 °C. In a freezer, mount the sensor outside and pass the lead through the door seal or a gland.

ZEM-65-300 · Wireless 3-Phase Electricity Monitor

For 2 circuits: Electricity

The 300 A flexible Rogowski coils cover the circuit rating on each phase and wrap a conductor up to about 70 mm across, or two cables per phase, so nothing has to be read from an existing meter.

  • The coils connect directly to the meter, with no separate integrator, and arrive calibrated against it, so Class 0.5S covers the whole measurement. Each one needs room to wrap the conductor and clip shut.
  • A qualified electrician fits them inside the live panel and confirms the phase arrangement and the voltage reference.

ZGW-20-UZ-NC-NW-EU-DT-C4-NS-NP-NIO-NR-W1-NSIM · Gateway

Every EpiSensor device reports over the Zigbee mesh to a Gateway, which runs Edge on site. One Gateway carries up to 250 devices.

  • Edge comes pre-installed and licensed for unlimited EpiSensor devices.

SUP-GW-Y · Support (optional)

Direct access to EpiSensor engineers for commissioning questions, faults and firmware, for each Gateway.

CORE-GW-SUB-Y · Core (optional)

Core manages every Gateway from one place: health, updates, backups and remote access.
