Positive import and negative export are assumed. A positive post-event deviation reduces the net event effect; a negative value means further reduction. Programme baseline, exclusions and settlement rules remain authoritative.

Method and assumptions

event energy reduction = Σ(baseline − actual) × interval hours; rebound = Σ(post-event actual − baseline) × interval hours

The baseline method and programme rules determine whether these arithmetic differences are commercially valid.

Limits of this result

  • Weather, production, occupancy, schedules and event notification can require baseline adjustment or exclusion.
  • Availability, telemetry quality, command acknowledgement, rebound limits and non-delivery rules remain programme-specific.
  • Every series must contain complete, equally spaced interval-average kW values with shared timestamp boundaries and positive import / negative export.
