KACO new energy blueplanet 92.0/105/125 TL3

Commercial PV inverter

KACO documents a SunSpec Modbus TCP server for the blueplanet 87.0 to 165 TL3 family. This guide covers the 92.0, 105 and 125 TL3 ratings and read-only monitoring. Write access stays disabled. The separate RS-485 KACO protocol and string-combiner port are not Modbus routes.

Compatibility

Compatible through documented SunSpec Modbus TCP

The current exact-family manual documents a Modbus TCP server based on SunSpec and a dedicated menu that permits write access to remain disabled.

blueplanet 92.0, 105 or 125 TL3 under the retained manual from firmware 03.59 onward. Use Modbus TCP for read-only monitoring and leave write access disabled.

Specifications

The retained manual covers the blueplanet 87.0 through 165 TL3 platform from firmware 03.59. The 92.0, 105 and 125 TL3 have different grid ratings, so the full type code remains part of the point record.1

Interface

Documented measurements and integration boundaries for blueplanet 92.0/105/125 TL3.

  • Inverter identity, firmware and implemented SunSpec models.
  • AC and DC measurements, energy and operating state where returned by the installed SunSpec profile.
  • Fault and status values where documented for the matching firmware interface.

Assessment

blueplanet 92.0, 105 or 125 TL3 from firmware 03.59, using SunSpec Modbus TCP with writes disabled.

InteroperabilitySupported with conditions
SunSpec Modbus TCP is documented, subject to installed firmware and the matching KACO interface specification.1
AccuracySupported with conditions
The family manual identifies inverter measurements and ratings; the implemented model set must be discovered for the exact firmware.1
SecurityLimited
Modbus TCP lacks transport protection, although the inverter provides a write-access control that can remain disabled.1
ReliabilitySupported with conditions
Operating limits and diagnostics are published; polling recovery and coexistence with site systems require commissioning tests.1
RuggednessSupported with conditions
Enclosure and environmental installation limits are published for the exact family.12
ScalabilitySupported with conditions
Dual Ethernet and network configuration support plant integration, while client count, polling and addressing need a site design.1
LifecycleSupported with conditions
KACO publishes a current revisioned family manual and product material; firmware-specific interface records remain necessary.12

Setup

  1. Confirm type and firmware

Record the full nameplate type, grid voltage, serial number and firmware. This guide begins at firmware 03.59 and does not cover similarly named North American variants.

  2. Keep writes disabled

In the Modbus TCP menu, enable only the server operation needed for monitoring. Leave write access disabled and preserve power-control, grid and protection settings.

  3. Use the Ethernet route

Connect through the permitted protected plant LAN and configured TCP port. Do not repurpose the RS-485 string-combiner connection or describe the KACO serial protocol as Modbus RTU.

  4. Match the firmware specification

Use the KACO SunSpec Modbus interface specification applicable to the installed firmware, then discover the returned common and inverter models before selecting points.

  5. Verify a live read

Compare identity, operating state and one power measurement with the inverter interface or commissioned logger before adding more measurements.
