Cristina Coffey, Chief Strategy Officer at EpiSensor, took part in a roundtable at the Embassy of India, Dublin on 5 October 2023, on collaboration between India and Ireland in the energy transition.

The Embassy hosted the event to bring companies working in the Indian energy market together with green technology firms in Ireland.

At the table from Ireland were EnergyElephant, Nines PV, Atlantic Wires, ESB and EpiSensor. TechIreland facilitated.

The Ambassador, Akhilesh Mishra, set out India’s progress in renewable generation and in solar PV manufacturing, and the scale of its national LED replacement programme. On the international picture, the International Energy Agency reported that India installed 18 GW of solar PV in 2022, close to 40 per cent more than in 2021.

The discussion covered where Irish and Indian companies can work together on the energy transition.

Our thanks to the Embassy of India, to the representatives from the Indian energy industry, to TechIreland for facilitating, and to the other participants.
