The current thermostat range includes Essential, Enhanced and Premium models, with different sensing and comfort features. App access and scheduling are common parts of the offering, while the more expensive models add capabilities rather than simply a different enclosure. This makes equipment compatibility and the required room-sensing features central to selection. The products control a compatible HVAC installation; they are not electricity submeters and do not replace a building’s electrical measurement system merely because their software reports energy-related information and estimates potential savings.

Offering

The model comparison distinguishes Premium’s indoor-air-quality monitor and included SmartSensor from Enhanced and Essential. Radar occupancy sensing appears on Enhanced and Premium, while Essential can use an optional remote SmartSensor for supported functions. The Essential specification also distinguishes the current SmartSensor from the first-generation Room Sensor, which it does not support. It names Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant and Alexa connections and directs buyers to an HVAC compatibility check for the actual installation. eco+ supplies software features such as humidity-aware temperature adjustment, schedule suggestions and occupancy-related changes. Participation and incentives depend on the local programme rather than being identical in every region. The current description includes preheating or precooling ahead of peak periods and adjustments during those periods. This is the main energy-flexibility link: the thermostat influences a controllable household load. Published savings examples require their stated comparison conditions and should not be treated as a guaranteed reduction for every home.

Markets

The API introduction documents reading and updating thermostat information using authorised application access. However, the current developer page states that new developer registrations are not being accepted. Both facts matter together: existing documentation does not establish that a new integrator can obtain credentials today. A project relying on cloud API access therefore has a different acceptance boundary from using a supported consumer smart-home connection. Existing API clients and new projects using supported consumer integrations therefore have different setup routes and should be evaluated separately.
