Multi-utility energy performance and invoice management
ELSYS develops wireless sensors for indoor climate, occupancy and environmental monitoring, with measurement and radio capabilities defined by each model.
ELSYS addresses the room conditions that help explain building performance. Its ERS LoRa datasheet distinguishes models measuring combinations of temperature, humidity, light, CO2, sound, VOCs and occupancy. The family name therefore describes a range rather than one universal sensor specification.
For energy work, these measurements can put heating, cooling and ventilation demand in context. They do not directly measure the electrical energy used by that equipment. A useful design pairs the room measurement with the relevant meter or equipment data, then chooses the sensor channels needed to answer the question. Buying the most feature-rich unit is not always necessary for a simple temperature check.
The ERS CO2 operating manual describes an indoor climate sensor with LoRaWAN communications and NFC configuration. This is a practical choice to investigate where room CO2 and environmental conditions need to be observed without running a communications cable to every point.
The ECO series manual describes a different power arrangement: batteryless sensors harvesting indoor light. That changes the installation decision as well as battery maintenance. Available light, placement and the required measurement schedule matter when comparing a light-powered sensor with a battery model. The power source should be selected from the actual room conditions, not treated as a cosmetic difference between enclosures.

ELSYS publishes a payload decoder and a documents and firmware library. These provide the connection between radio messages and usable values. Successful LoRaWAN joining is only the network step; an application must still decode the sensor's payload and interpret the reported channels correctly.
Its downlink settings generator also separates configuration fields such as measurement and transmission intervals. That distinction is useful when balancing the frequency of observations against radio traffic and power use. A commissioning record should retain the selected model, firmware, network region and configuration so that a replacement sensor can reproduce the same behaviour rather than merely appear online.
The company overview names smart buildings, cities and industrial applications, with indoor climate, energy efficiency and workplace use among its focus areas. In a building, environmental sensors can help identify rooms that remain heated while unused, or spaces where ventilation conditions deserve closer examination. The sensor data supplies evidence for investigation; it does not itself establish a saving.
The ERS model matrix helps match that investigation to specific channels. Motion detection, occupancy reporting and CO2 measurement answer different questions and should not be substituted for one another without considering how the space is used. The receiving application also needs to retain units and timestamps alongside the values.
ELSYS identifies its business as ElektronikSystem i Umeå AB. Its history dates the company to 2005, founded by researchers and lecturers from Umeå University, while its published manuals identify Umeå, Sweden as the company location. This profile uses that documented origin rather than a product-release date.
The company provides both sensing hardware and the supporting material needed to configure and decode it. The documentation library is especially useful for an integrator comparing generations or checking which measurements a model actually provides. Brand-level support for several wireless technologies should still be read as portfolio breadth, not as a claim that each individual sensor contains every radio.
