Formula

Valid assigned primary addresses = 1…250; remaining capacity = 250 − unique assigned addresses

Address 0 is unconfigured. Values 251–255 have reserved, secondary-selection or broadcast roles and are not ordinary unique device addresses.

Limits of this result

  • This checks an address schedule; it does not discover, select or re-address a meter.
  • Secondary-address uniqueness and wildcard selection must be verified with the exact meter and master implementation.
  • Bus power, capacitance, topology and timing are separate commissioning checks.
