Overview

Wasion's international catalogue spans single-phase and three-phase electricity meters, prepaid meters, DIN-rail units and ANSI-format products. The range reflects utility estates with different physical connections and regional metering requirements. Its wider product catalogue also includes telecommunications, water and gas meters, software and distribution equipment.

The aMeter100 is a single-phase smart meter with energy measurement, tariff calendars and event records. The aMeter300 CTVT adds a transformer-connected three-phase option for larger measurement points. These families put Wasion closer to a complete utility metering supplier than a business offering only a network interface for someone else's instrument.

Offering

The aMeter100 records four-quadrant measurements, instantaneous voltage and current, frequency and power. Its published functions include tariff calendars, local or remote load control, power-quality events and communication logs. Optional home-area interfaces include RS485, P1, M-Bus and wireless M-Bus.

The aMeter300 CTVT is positioned for transformer-connected three-phase measurement, with listed active-energy classes of 0.5S or 0.2S. It describes harmonic measurements through the fiftieth order and voltage sag or swell records. Communications use a separate module arrangement, while auxiliary interfaces can link water or gas metering. The current and voltage connection distinguishes this instrument from a direct-connected household meter.

Technology

Wasion's Wi-SUN solution combines compatible meters, a WFCT-960 radio gateway and network-interface modules. It is an RF mesh collection architecture for smart-grid and smart-city deployments. The meter's communications module and the collection infrastructure are therefore identifiable parts of the system, rather than an unspecified wireless link.

At the software layer, Energy-Pro combines head-end, meter-data management, customer-management, billing and vending functions. Wasion attributes this solution to Smart Metering Solutions (Changsha), its joint venture with Siemens. This offers a route from field readings to utility operations; it is separate from a tested EpiSensor Edge integration, which has not been established by the reviewed material.
