Overview

Sensative combines building sensors with an IoT integration platform. Its company publication describes the Strips sensor range and Yggio as separate parts of that offering. The sensors collect local conditions; the platform connects and manages information from building systems. Neither role should be confused with an electricity meter or a guarantee of compatibility with a particular gateway.

The resource centre separates LoRaWAN and Z-Wave documentation. A similar physical enclosure or product name does not make those radio variants interchangeable. Selection starts with the exact product family, regional radio version and network already available on site.

Offering

The LoRaWAN Strips documentation distinguishes +Guard, +Drip and +Comfort. Guard provides magnetic opening detection alongside temperature and capacitance sensing. Drip adds a water-leak detection arrangement, while Comfort measures humidity, temperature and light as well as magnetic opening state. These are different measurement combinations, not simply colours of the same sensor.

The documentation gives separate European and North American installer-pack numbers. Procurement should preserve those regional identifiers. The official shop also separates Presence and the multisensor variants, helping avoid a generic sensor selection that does not answer the actual building question.

Technology

A useful commissioning detail appears in the Strips +Drip instructions: the device calibrates at joining and again two hours later. Applying water during that initial interval can corrupt the reference state. A leak test therefore needs to follow the documented calibration sequence, rather than interpreting a quick splash test as proof of correct operation.

The same manual describes time-based and change-based reporting, sensor memory and alarms. Report frequency and local radio conditions affect the practical installation. Headline maximum range or battery-life figures should not become a site guarantee; validate reception and the reporting configuration where the sensor will actually be mounted.

Markets

These products fit building-condition monitoring: opening state, leaks and indoor conditions can explain operating problems that an electricity total cannot. The company description connects that sensor range with smart-building and city applications through Yggio. A complete project still needs a network, decoding, data storage and a clear response when an alarm arrives.

The product manual is especially useful for comparing what a single installed sensor can report. Select the required measurement first, then the communication variant. This reduces the risk of buying a door sensor where humidity is needed, or a LoRaWAN version for an existing Z-Wave network.

Company

The official shop footer identifies Sensative AB in Lund, Sweden, with its Swedish VAT identity. The company announcement also names Sensative AB as the supplier of Yggio and Strips. The company identity is therefore distinct from the Yggio platform name and from individual Strips models.

The company history dates its foundation in Lund to 2013. The resource centre and current documentation provide the stronger basis for product evaluation, including naming changes and commissioning constraints. This profile retains those practical distinctions instead of treating the whole catalogue as a single generic wireless sensor.
