REPT BATTERO
Battery cells and Powtrix storage systems
RatedPower, part of Enverus, automates utility-scale PV and BESS layouts, energy modelling, electrical design and editable engineering deliverables.
RatedPower is an Enverus software platform for designing utility-scale solar and battery-storage projects. Its platform overview connects site screening, layout generation, energy estimation and electrical engineering, allowing a team to compare alternatives before committing to a design. The work is project engineering rather than live asset operation: inputs describe the proposed site and equipment, and outputs support feasibility and detailed design. Its BESS offering covers standalone storage as well as batteries added to new or existing PV projects. This makes it relevant to hybrid-plant development, where layout, connection limits and storage assumptions interact.
The Layout Editor lets engineers change structures, inverter positions, power stations, roads and electrical connections while tracking design metrics. It produces deliverables such as layouts, single-line diagrams and bills of quantities. The storage design tools add battery sizing, topology and techno-economic modelling, including degradation and auxiliary consumption. Those details matter because the same nominal battery capacity can produce different project outcomes under different operating assumptions. The software supports iteration across design alternatives, while the final technical deliverables remain editable for the engineering team responsible for the plant.
RatedPower's CAD workflow supports DWG export and re-import, with an explicit warning that complex geometry may need further work after a round trip. Its BESS tools accept custom inverter OND files and model arbitrage, degradation and auxiliary demand. Peak shaving and ancillary-service cases require additional user assumptions rather than an automatic default. The pricing comparison also identifies PVsyst export and distinguishes optional 3D energy-yield packages. These are engineering-file and modelling interfaces, not fieldbus drivers; the product is intended to develop and document a plant rather than communicate directly with installed meters.
RatedPower's plans separate basic feasibility and grid-interconnection work from detailed layout editing and broader site prospecting. Enterprise capabilities include team management and single sign-on, while geographical coverage of prospecting datasets depends on the plan and market. The platform serves developers evaluating sites, EPCs preparing designs and engineering teams refining equipment choices. Its value is therefore strongest where repeated layout and yield comparisons influence project decisions. A buyer should compare the scope of modelling and deliverables required, rather than assume every advertised engineering capability is included in the entry subscription.
RatedPower was founded in 2017 by Miguel Ángel Torrero, Juan Romero and Andrea Barber, and joined Enverus in September 2022. The founders' original focus was reducing the manual effort involved in moving from a candidate solar site to an engineered layout. The business now links its engineering workflow with Enverus PRISM data for site identification and prospecting. Its contact page lists a Madrid address, although it does not explicitly label that address as global headquarters. The current product retains the RatedPower name within the Enverus Power & Renewables portfolio. Its official company information identifies Madrid, Spain as headquarters. It gives 2017 as the founding year.
