Spacewell EnergyEnergy analytics across sites

Connect EpiSensor measurements to Spacewell Energy, formerly Dexma. Review the documented Gateway integration and plan secure delivery for your site.

Overview

Feed site measurements into Spacewell Energy, with consistent meter identities and reporting intervals across your buildings.

Technology

The documented integration

EpiSensor's published Spacewell Energy integration, also known as Dexma, describes registering an EpiSensor Gateway in the receiving platform and sending CSV files over FTP. Its setup instructions use the legacy Gateway interface.

For a new Edge deployment, confirm the current receiving service and export flow. Plain FTP is not encrypted: agree an appropriately secured transport or network arrangement before sending credentials or operational data. Do not assume that FTP, FTPS and SFTP are interchangeable options on the receiving service.

Make the readings comparable

  • Use stable meter identifiers and clear site, building and circuit names.
  • Agree units, reporting intervals and the meaning of each reading: cumulative total or interval consumption.
  • Check the receiving platform's time-zone configuration, including daylight-saving transitions.
  • Obtain connection credentials securely through the platform administrator.
  • Validate a small set of readings at both ends before adding the remaining meters.

Plan the site, not just the export

Start with the measurements and hardware you need. The Gateway connects the site, while Edge provides local dashboards, data tools and automation. You can use those capabilities on their own or alongside the external platform.
