Edge Snaps: Maximising EpiSensor Gateway functionality in partnership with Canonical
Following the introduction of Edge Flows, EpiSensor presents Edge Snaps – a robust and secure App store for the EpiSensor IoT Gateway. Developed in collaboration with Canonical, this integration enhances the Ubuntu Core Operating system, enabling individual updates for each OS component for improved security and reliability.
Edge Snaps opens up a world of possibilities, enabling users to extend their Gateway’s functionality with advanced applications such as machine learning, VPNs, or a comprehensive energy management system—all running locally, with no recurring costs.
Our upcoming Edge Snaps guide will detail how to easily install and configure the Home Assistant snap for energy and environmental data analysis, alert creation, and live dashboard displays, all without cloud dependency.
