EpiSensor’s ZDI Digital Signal Sensor is intended to detect the open/closed status of switches, for example to detect when a door in a warehouse opens, and the percentage of time that it is open for. The ZDI reports the data through the wireless sensor network to the Gateway.
The ZDI reports data in terms of the input state (represented as “0” or “1”) and also the ‘percentage of time open or closed’. This pre-processing of the open/closed state into a percentage increases the accuracy and reduces the load on higher level software applications, because the data is in a format that can easily be displayed on graphs. The ZDI-20/22 product variants are both mains powered versions.
