EpiSensor’s TES-xx and HTS-xx range of wireless temperature and humidity nodes can record temperature and humidity data at predefined intervals and send this data to the Gateway via the wireless sensor network. These devices are battery powered and can last up to 10 years under normal operating conditions. Across the range of these nodes, some are housed in waterproof enclosures and some in vented enclosures to monitor ambient temperature and humidity.

Note: the position of the button and LED will vary between units housed in vented or waterproof enclosures.

Mounting instructions

These nodes are battery powered and do not require a mains power supply, and so installation is quite easy. The units can be wall mounted with adhesive strips or with screws / rivets. Units housed in the waterproof enclosure have keyhole mounting holes as shown in the image below, which are positioned 122mm vertically apart. If possible, these enclosures should be positioned with the glands facing downwards.

TES-2x Mounting

If the node is housed in a vented enclosure for monitoring ambient temperature or humidity, it will be housed in the following enclosure:

TES-1x & HTS-1x Mounting

The back half of this enclosure can be wall mounted – this provides for access to the circuit board as required.

Battery Life

The following table estimates battery life for the TES-xx range of products. There are other environmental factors that this table does not take into account, and the calculations are made assuming the node is not logging data for long periods of time.
