Gateway / DynDNS

The Settings > DynDNS page facilitates the Gateway to be configured to log its external IP address to a dynamic DNS service such as is provided by Dyn (www.dyn.com). For more information see the ‘How to configure DynDNS’ section of this user guide.

DynDNS Settings

The following information should be provided:

DynDNS Account Username: The Dyn account name. The username is validated with the following set of acceptable characters: [A-Za-z0-9._-]

DynDNS Account Password: The Dyn account password. The password is validated with the following set of acceptable characters: [A-Za-z0-9.!*^_-]

Wildcard: Yes or No. This will depend on how the hostaname was configured when adding it to your DynDNS account.

Dynamic DNS Hostname: The hostname in the Host Services of your Dyn account that you wish to use for this gateway. The hostname is validated with the following set of acceptable characters: [A-Za-z0-9._-]

Note: If you wish to clear a previous configuration, blank out the above fields (most importantly the Dynamic DNS Hostname) and click ‘Save Changes’.
