Gateway / DynDNS
The Settings > DynDNS page facilitates the Gateway to be configured to log its external IP address to a dynamic DNS service such as is provided by Dyn (www.dyn.com). For more information see the ‘How to configure DynDNS’ section of this user guide.
The following information should be provided:
DynDNS Account Username: The Dyn account name. The username is validated with the following set of acceptable characters: [A-Za-z0-9._-]
DynDNS Account Password: The Dyn account password. The password is validated with the following set of acceptable characters: [A-Za-z0-9.!*^_-]
Wildcard: Yes or No. This will depend on how the hostaname was configured when adding it to your DynDNS account.
Dynamic DNS Hostname: The hostname in the Host Services of your Dyn account that you wish to use for this gateway. The hostname is validated with the following set of acceptable characters: [A-Za-z0-9._-]
Note: If you wish to clear a previous configuration, blank out the above fields (most importantly the Dynamic DNS Hostname) and click ‘Save Changes’.
